Special attention will be devoted to recent advances and technological innovations in the seed industry, the PVP and Variety Release common portal, the unveiling of the seed information management online portal, and the recently gazetted PVP regulation, amongst other things.
Identifying critical gaps left unfilled by past, present and on-going initiatives and knowledge questions which will inform the seed systems research and development agenda for improving efficiency in the coming years is important. SeedConnect aims to achieve this. Don’t miss it.
The SeedConnect is an annual event organized by the National Agricultural Seeds Council, NASC, Nigeria, in collaboration with the private seed sector to create a forum for major stakeholders within the industry to discuss various issues impacting players within the seed industry and design pathways for more resilient food systems.
The SeedConnect creates an avenue for participants to discuss ongoing innovations, identify critical gaps, develop strategic frameworks for scaling up delivery of high-quality seeds to farmers, create a network and business partnership platform between local, regional, and international partners.

Focused on the intersection of agriculture and technology, this event in Accra, Ghana, highlighted innovative agri-tech solutions that are transforming food production across the continent.

An exclusive event bringing together top investors from Africa and around the world to discuss opportunities in African startups. The roundtable format allowed for intimate, one-on-one discussions between investors and entrepreneurs, creating new channels for funding and collaboration.

The forum fostered discussions on how established companies can support and scale innovative startups across Africa. The following items are restricted from being transported in to or near the event venue, including any items that NASC determine at their discretion to be similar:

(ii) Food and beverage items (except infant food and beverage, special dietary items)
(iii) Any device with a laser beam/laser pointers or strobe lights
(iv) Animals (except service and assistance animals, e.g. guide dogs)
(v) Devices producing excessive noise that may affect comfort and safety
(vi) Rigid poles and sticks (except walking sticks required for mobility reasons)
(vii) Signage and banners
(viii) Religious, political, provocative or obscene messaging on clothing
(ix) Items too large to be electronically screened
(x) Any items intended for use in ambush marketing attempts
(xii) Drones and unmanned aerial vehicles.
